MUAR: Barisan Nasional should adopt a new campaign approach to retain the Bagan Pinang state seat in Negri Sembilan, said Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Razali Ibrahim.
“We must set new target of voters, especially youths and fence-sitters, like we did in the Manek Urai by-election in Kelantan,” he said.
Razali, who is the Umno Youth deputy chief, said the wing had activated its election machinery in Bagan Pinang to gauge voters’ attitude before launching its campaign.
“The constituency has about 10% Chinese voters and nine per cent Indians and we must woo them,” he told reporters after distributing face masks to shoppers at the Wetex Parade Supermarket yesterday. - The Star
